Micron Media Filter

Micron fiberglass filters represent the pinnacle of fiberglass winding technology. These vessels feature an inner shell made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin, expertly wound with fiberglass filament. Waterco’s advanced digitally controlled filament winding machine ensures continuous strands of high-quality fiberglass filament are wound under controlled tension, creating a seamless one-piece vessel with unmatched consistency and superior quality. Unlike other filters, Micron filters have no welds, seams, or special tank linings that can corrode or undergo electrolysis.

Efficient Depth Filtration

Micron filters utilize “depth filtration” technology, where dirt and debris are driven through the filter bed and trapped in minute spaces between the particles of filter media. The cleansed water then passes through the filter’s laterals and exits via the Multiport valve.

Excessive debris buildup can impair the filter’s efficiency, leading to pressure build-up and poor circulation. Cleaning the filter is a breeze—simply switch the Multiport lever from “filter” to “backwash” to reverse the water flow and flush the filter bed.
